Design Processes
- The first step is to contact us to set up a time for your Discovery Meeting. We will send you a Design Questionaire to help you prepare your ideas. The questionaire is designed to save you money by communicating your ideas in a way that the designer will understand. For local clients, we will meet in person. For out of town customers, we can video or teleconference, or if you are willing to invest in travel, I will be glad to come to you.
- After our meeting, an estimate and timeline will be crafted for you. Please review, sign, and return to Spinks Creative along with your payment or deposit and any files or notes that would aid your design process.
-
Core identity and branding items such as your logo, theme, and stationary are established first because all other materials will be built upon them. The print and web designs following are worked out simultaneously.
-
For logos, a proof sheet of 3-5 logo samples will be sent to you for review. This is the opportunity to give your feedback and selects one logo out of the group for development. The designer will then create another round of variations on that theme incorporating client comments and critique. Client feedback is again exchanged and one logo is selected for final tweaking. Should more variations be desired or if the client wants a change in direction, then hourly rates will apply and be added to the estimate until the logo is established.
-
A similar process to that above will follow for layouts in print and web materials. Letterhead and business card design usually follow the logo. From there, brochures, advertisements, and websites are built consistent to your brand identity.
-
All services must be paid in full before files are released to the client or printer and website published to server.
- Then you are free to bring in the customers and start making money from your new website or brand materials.
